What a breakdown really costs

A warm fridge is a food-safety problem first

Most of the cost of a breakdown never shows up on our invoice.

Stock in the bin

Potentially hazardous food held above 5°C for too long has to be thrown out. One failed coolroom can mean thousands of dollars of stock.

Service under pressure

Chefs stop cooking to shift stock between fridges, prep falls behind and dishes come off the menu.

An inspection you did not plan for

Temperature records, door seals and clean coils are all on the inspector’s list. Good maintenance and records protect your rating.

What we look after

Every cold box in the kitchen

  • Walk-in coolrooms and freezer rooms
  • Underbench, upright and prep-line fridges
  • Pizza and salad prep tables
  • Display cabinets, cake and deli displays
  • Blast chillers and freezers
  • Ice machines and drink fridges

Cafés and franchise groups can put every store on one plan with one asset register, so you know what is ageing before it fails mid-service.

Why kitchens choose us

A licensed technician who explains it properly

Plain-English diagnosis

You are told what failed, why, and what it will cost. Major repairs are quoted before any work goes ahead.

Fixed on the first visit

Small repairs are done on the spot where possible to get you cold again fast. If parts are needed, you are told how long and how to protect stock.

Food-safety records

Photos and a written report after every job. Frigbot adds automatic temperature logs.

Clean coils, lower bills

Dirty condensers make compressors work harder. Scheduled cleaning cuts running costs and failures.

Questions

Common questions from kitchens

How much is a call-out?

Business-hours attendance is a fixed fee that covers the call-out and first diagnosis, then labour and parts as quoted. Call 1300 669 353 for current rates. Certainty Plan clients pay no call-out fee.

Can you fix it today?

Small repairs are done on the spot where possible. If parts need ordering, we will tell you how long and what you can do to protect stock in the meantime.

How often should kitchen refrigeration be serviced?

Most kitchens benefit from servicing two to four times a year, depending on how hard the equipment works. The Breakdown Risk Report sets the right schedule for your site.

Do you look after franchise groups?

Yes. Multiple stores can sit on one plan with one schedule, one asset register and consistent reports across every site.
